61 Panzer Jäger Awards

1. Infantry/ General Assault Badge (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen)

• Bronze: Complete basic impression, completion of Infantry or appropriate basic qualification card for your impression, Completion of Basic first responder qualification card.  Five events or 75 total hours.
• Silver: Same requirements as for the Bronze in addition to honorable service in the active duty military. Or service in a Federal homeland defense agency.

2. Iron Cross 2^nd Class (Eisernes kreuz II. Klasse)

• Must have completed all of the requirements for the Infantry Assault badge in addition to the following: 10 events or 100 hours, Completion of one advanced qualification card, Complete impression.

3. Iron Cross 1^st Class (Eisernes kreuz I. Klasse)

• Completion of all of the requirements for the Infantry assault badge and Iron Cross 2^nd class in addition to the following: 10 events or 100 hours, Completion of a second advanced qualification card.

4. Wound Badge (Werwundetenabzeichen)

• Black: Sustaining an injury while engaged in tactical operations requiring the care of a licensed physician.
• Silver: Attendance at 30 consecutive events with out being injured or causing an injury
• Gold: Dismemberment

5. Close Combat Clasp ( Nahkampfspange)

• Bronze: Completion of all of the requirements for EK II. And I in addition to the following: Completion of 75 or 750 hours.
• Silver: Completion of all the requirements for Bronze in addition to 300 hours
• Gold: 2000 total hours.

6. Russian Front Medal (Ostmedaille)

• 100 hours of Russian front events.

Knights Cross to the Iron Cross (Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuz)

The Knights Cross:  Awarded for providing life saving intervention for a fellow reenactor during the course of or while traveling to an event. The award must be recommended by the unit commander of the injured reenactor and approved by the unit chain of command and a majority vote of the unit membership.

• Fourth Class: 5 Years

• Third Class: 10 Years

• Second Class: 15 Years

• First Class: 20 Years

2. Czech/Sudetenland Annexation Medal

• 21+ Years

Miscellaneous Awards and Merit Badges

1. Drivers Badge of Merit (Kraftfahr-Bewahrungsabzeichen)

·        Bronze: Completes Wheeled / Truck qualification Card

·        Silver: Completes Halftrack qualification card 60 total hours.

·        Gold: Completes both wheeled and halftrack qualification cards, 50 hours as a driver at tactical events.

2. Signal Operators Badge (Nachrichtenpersaonal)

      Completion of the Radio qualification card. 50 hours as a Signal      

       Operator at a tactical event.

3        Medical Personnel (Sanitatsunterpersonal)

Completion of a D.O.T. Approved  EMT B or P course. Current licensure in the State of CO.  Current National Registry. Current IV Certification, Completion of an approved FTI program. Must be signed off by the senior sanitater in unit. Must be currently working under the license of a M.D. to practice in the field.  This award is stamped into the soldbuch but not worn in the field by anyone in a combatant role.

4.   Special Badge for the single handed destruction of an Allied tank (Sonderabzeichen fur das Niederkampfen von Panzerkampfenwagen durch Einzelkampfer)

• Silver: Awarded for the single handed destruction of an Allied tank while avoiding “death”. One badge may be awarded for every three armored vehicles destroyed in the absence of tanks. This only applies to single handed destruction, not as a member of a crew served weapon. This does not apply to soft skin vehicles!
• Gold: One gold badge for every five tanks destroyed or fifteen armored vehicles destroyed.

Event Credit and Hours

Non unit events must be submitted through the chain of command for credit to be awarded. The submission must include: Date, Number of days / nights that the event lasted, approx. number of participants and location. Submission must be signed by the ranking Officer or NCO that you served under at the event. Acceptance is at the sole discretion of the chain of command.

Accrual of Hours

• Each day at an event will count as 10 hours
• A one day event would count as 10 hours or 1 event
• An event that includes both Saturday and Sunday but does not continue tactically Saturday night will count as 20 hours or 1 event.
• Events that start Saturday morning and continue non stop tactically until Sunday morning will count as 25 Hours or 1 event
• Events that start Friday night and continue non stop tactically until Sunday will count as 30 hours or 1.5 events.

The maximum any one event will count for is 30 hours or 1.5 events. Events may be designated as maximum credit events at the discretion of the Chain of command.  Any event requiring travel in excess of 1800 miles round trip will count as a maximum credit event at the discretion of the chain of command. (This does not apply to grandfathered awards for prior service with other units). In order for a participant to receive credit for an event he must participate in the entire day he wishes to get credit for. Misconduct on the field or at the event may be cause for the denial of credit at the event at the discretion of the chain of command. Revocation of credit must be agreed on by the offenders squad leader the speiss and the commanding officer.

Credit for Prior Reenacting Service

  All prior reenacting experience will be credited to each member when he transfers into the unit in the following manner. New members must submit a list of reenactments attended approx. dates, locations, size and total hours. Members who have been serving with the unit since November 03 need only submit total hours of tactical time.  This should be calculated per the formula listed above.  Any reenactor with more than two years of WWII living history service is exempt from completing the Infantry qualification card. They must however have a complete impression and 100 hours in order for the exemption to apply.
